Adopted OCs (i don't know the official term).
Characters that you adopted from someone else.
So some people kinda spend tons of money/points/etc on them, and don't know what to do with them afterwards. They don't draw them, give them a name etc..
I'm one of these people. I spend tons of points on something i probably won't even use.
I like looking at them and I'd like to use them but usually i don't know how to.
Then I decided to actually draw them.
And something clicked inside of me.
It's kinda simple. While you draw them you get a basic idea of who you want them to be, their personality, a general feeling of them as a whole.
If you just stare at them once you adopted them, 90% of all cases, nothing will happen and nothing ever develops
Because most adopts are blank. They neither have personality given to them, nor do they really have backstories.
Same with drawing is if you write a story about them, you start developing them. If you want or not.
For example, I really needed to fill a role that was blank for a long time, and by drawing some of my bbys, i kinda found a candidate for that spot while i drew him.
Which also shows that while most people won't use most of their adopted Characters, some might actually fill a spot that the person didn't know how to fill.
So if you don't know what to do with them, try drawing them a few times, and even if you end up not using them...
Atleast you get a good feeling of them, which makes it easier later on.
So yeah, um..
That's all I have to say about that. I hope it makes sense in a weird way. I tried ^^"
(But I'm not really good in explaining and stating my opinion)
Hope you all have a nice day!
